Class 5 English — CBSE / NCERT
Follows Santoor — Textbook of English for Class 5 (NCERT, Reprint 2026-27)
A full year of English for Class 5 on the CBSE syllabus, following Santoor — the NCERT reader — piece by piece. Each lesson is taught over three short days of about ten minutes: what the lesson is about, the grammar or writing skill it carries, worked examples, reading aloud, and a sheet that is marked the moment it is submitted. Every third day looks back at lessons from earlier in the year. 33 daily sessions of 10–15 minutes.

33 days, in the book’s own order
Every lesson in the textbook is taught over three short days rather than one long sitting — because ten minutes is a thing a child does on a bus, and forty is a thing somebody has to make them do.

Practise

Every third day is a recall day, and it deliberately asks about lessons from one, three and seven units ago rather than the one just finished. Getting those wrong is the point — a thing you have to reach for is a thing you still have in March.
